The project will be carried out through four major phases
The first phase will include the registration to compete in the “MENA 100” Business Plan Competition and the submission of the Business Plan form;
The second phase will include a first filtering of the submitted proposals in cooperation with the selected regional partners to identify the best 10 business plans from each country. There won’t be any oral presentations for this round of the Business Plan Competition. Judging is based solely on the business plans submitted to the competition. Plans that have not been accepted and the reasons behind the decision will be recorded. Accepted plans will be flagged and passed on to next evaluation stage.
The MENA secretariat will carry out a second filtering operation in the third phase or semi-finals in order to identify the best Business plans from each country. The result of evaluation will be recorded as a point system based on the agreed criteria.
During phase IV, the Finalists will present their business plans during a 10-minute presentation including PowerPoint slides and detail the major points of the business plan in a persuasive and professional manner before the judging panel on the MENA 100 day. Following the presentations, the votes will be tallied and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded.
Through the support of sponsors, the MENA 100 will be able to recognize top performers with cash and in-kind services awards. All details of winning business plans will be posted in the website, first the top 100 and then the top 3 in more details.
A facility will be created on the web to allow the interested venture capitals to discuss any business transaction with any of applicant entrepreneurs.
